The Mentoring Scheme is designed to provide students on the BSc (Hons) International Financial Services degree with access to top finance professionals who have immense practical experience in their chosen fields. The aim of the Scheme is that mentors and students meet on a regular basis, at mutually convenient times. These sessions are likely to include personal support, experience in handling decisions, career progression, networking events and introductions to appropriate and relevant contacts, as and when required. The student will receive valuable guidance on their career development in the lead-up to graduation and their search for graduate employment.
Personal introductions to the mentor’s contacts, which have often taken the mentor many years to establish, and which might not otherwise be readily available to you – some of whom could be future employers.
Valuable business skills
Learn valuable business and life skills from your mentor, including best business practices, appropriate behaviours and protocols.
Stretch your thinking
Mentors will stretch your thinking by providing you with another perspective – benefit from your mentor’s vision, which comes from their wider experience.
